Adventures in Appreciation: Adventures in Literature
By Fannie SafierA college text book.
This book was published in 1996 but is not outdated at all. In its 1000 pages it covers timeless examples of all kinds of literature, mostly from English speaking authors but it also includes a few translation of Greek, Latin, French, Russian, and Spanish writers. Although the book's cover is of Persian origin no Persian or any other Oriental text made it into the book. There is no introduction to this great volume. So, we don't know which grade it was meant for, or what the reasons were for the selection of the texts.
The book contains examples of all kinds of texts, of chapters of how to write, how to proofread, of grammar, a glossary, and literary terms and techniques.
